English Cocker spaniel is not a separate race, it belongs to various spaniel family: American cocker spaniel,
  Sussex spaniel, field spaniel, clumber spaniel, Welsh springer spaniel, English springer spaniel, Irish water spaniel.

  English Cocker spaniel is a dog which easily adjust to living in a city or a village.
  Although it is small it is also amazingly fast. Spaniels like movement and that is why they prove themselves
  as hunting and walking companions. They do not try to run away, they always keep the contact with his master.
  They have a special place in a family, they are friendly, charming and they have an unique appearance.
  They are great friends for older people. They are very bright – they know how to get what they want.

  It has got a double nature: at home it lies down, listens to commands, it all day lies at master’s feet;
  on a walk it changes into an urchin who jumps, runs and wants to play. Cocker feels good in a group,
  contrary to other races which need to be kept separately. Cocker spaniel is a courageous and intelligent dog.
  It is prying and it likes to sniff. It never takes it easy and it bursts with energy.

  Tenderness and gentleness are the features oh its character. It is almost a perfect dog for company:
  it is acquiescent, faithful and devoted to his master. Trend for spaniels was in eighties.
  However it did not favorably influenced the race’s development. Uncontrolled reproduction was reflected
  in deterioration of animals’ psyche. Nowadays cocker spaniel is not very popular
and that is why the quality of bred dogs became better.
